Blatant Misjustice and False Flags

ICE’s presence in the metro area has only increased within the last week. Many Minnesotans have taken to the streets in protest in a peaceful fashion. This has not stopped ICE from unlawfully detaining civilians as well as using excessive force on those that are protesting. The matter in which ICE has conducted themselves has changed from a legal enforcement of immigration to a dramatic theater of cruelty towards people of color. Based on the United States Census Bureau the percentage of White alone race origin in the United States is 74.8% in the 2024 Census. To be White is a larger cultural question and does not necessarily mean white skin. There have been multiple legal cases that have made it all the way to the supreme court on what defines “whiteness” and in one ruling the court declared Syrian and Middle Eastern people as white in Dow v. United States 1915. They did this because it was easier to claim middle eastern people as white than implement actual equality into our governmental system. To be White in the United States is to use your privilege as a citizen to demonize anyone that dares come here for work, to better themselves or as refugees.

The Twin Cities have been sanctuary cities for many refugees and immigrants coming into the United States for a long time. We welcomed the Hmong people when they were forgotten about in the Vietnam war and the Somalian people that became refugees because of our government's gross actions in the Middle East. I grew up and went to school where the majority of the population was Hmong or Asian American, about 70% of the class I graduated from was. I never felt cheated or chastised for my race and I didn’t realize how White America was until I went to college. My community was largely not White and that was just normal to me. I was able to learn so many different things from a variety of cultures and that is what I consider to be the American experience. Whatever may have happened to this land before we were born we are all here now, living, breathing and sharing a community together. ICE claims to be going after “violent criminals” but the Twin Cities is only home to roughly 100,000 of the 3,000,000 illegal immigrants that are estimated to be in the US at any given time. Why do we need 3,000 ICE officers, more officers ever deployed to one location in the US before? The simple answer is we don’t and that ICE is infringing on the local law enforcement's ability to go after criminals with due process, a right guaranteed to everyone in the US not just its citizens. Operation Metro Surge is nothing more than Donald Trump’s petty revenge against our governor Tim Walz. Walz was chosen as a VP pick by Harris and wasn’t afraid to call out the tanned criminal for what he was, and this is the president’s revenge.

A government official should never put their feelings above their duty to the people but that is all Donald Trump has done since he took office again in 2025. He wants to flood the streets of Minneapolis in hopes of creating a riot akin to the one in 2020 but he won’t get that because the people of the cities are smarter than him. The George Floyd riot had a number of different circumstances and was a response to the fraud and poor practices of the Minneapolis Police Department. It was also in the middle of the pandemic which came with its own strain and unrest. The people came back together after the breakdown and rebuilt the area into something better. This time around a federal agency is deploying far more officers than needed in an area that politically disagrees with the sitting president. Donald Trump is using domestic terrorism in an attempt to hold onto the power that is slipping away from him. I want to believe that there is more support for the people of the Twin Cities than the actions of a vengeful president but it has yet to be seen. The senate, congress, and the house all seem to be complicit in this gross occupation and attempt to resume with business as normal. They allow Donald Trump to continue to threaten the use of military troops on a civilian population that is following their constitutional right to protest.

I am not afraid that Minnesota will have to continue this fight alone as we are more than prepared to. I may not agree with all of Walz's actions but I will continue to protest and observe the actions of ICE. No law agency should be allowed to block off neighborhoods and search door to door. Warrant or not, that is not how law enforcement should work in the United States, and those feeling cozy and observing these tactics should be prepared for it to come to a neighborhood near you. The president has no intention of halting this terror campaign and I will remind any and all military service members that it is your legal right to not follow orders that ask you to attack civilians. The United States military was founded to protect its citizens and the moment it’s used on its civilians is the day the States officially fall apart. Counter protests and agitators have already been brought in to attempt to stir the pot further and the citizens of the Twin Cities have already caught on. Those of you coming to this state have no idea how to handle the weather nor are you equipped to keep this up in the long run. ICE should be abolished for allowing such ruthless tactics and the president should be impeached and branded a traitor for his actions against United State citizens.

I won’t even touch on the president's obvious ties to Russia or the terrible position the United States is now in globally. He has single handedly caused decades or issues that can only begin to be resolved once he is taken out of office. America needs to resolve these issues on our own soil before we begin mending things internationally; if we are able to continue as a nation at all. These videos of ICE terrorizing us are not fake, and screaming that I am a liar online will not alter what I have seen and heard about from friends and acquaintances. America was built by the exploitation of immigrants and people of color. Continuing to harass and demonize them will destroy this country, and I see no other conclusion if we continue down this path. Donald Trump will authorize any propaganda or orchestrate any event to paint the citizens of the Twin Cities in a bad light and I urge you to remember that. As an American I was raised on the belief to support and protect my community, my neighbors and that is all that we are doing. I hope to see things get better but at the moment I only see the light slipping away. Please stay safe out there and remember your rights.
